OUR ORIGIN STORY

Greg Rhodes, known affectionately as ‘Rhodesy’, founded Rhodes Contracting in 1992, which later evolved into Exact Contracting.

With a background in remote civil work, plumbing, and building, Greg envisioned a self-sufficient Civil Construction Company capable of operating in remote parts of the Northern Territory. Under his leadership, Exact Contracting grew to employ over 500 people nationwide.

Greg accumulated over 45 years of experience in Civil Construction, Water Infrastructure, Mining Services, and Transport Operations before his passing in 2022. He was instrumental in delivering key Northern Territory infrastructure projects for both State and Federal Governments, a source of great pride for him as a Territorian.

His legacy includes fostering sustainable relationships with clients, suppliers, and communities, and his influence continues to shape the culture and operations of Exact Contracting. Greg’s passion for innovation and continuous improvement left a lasting impact on the construction industry, making Exact Contracting a testament to his enduring legacy.

Greg was respected in the industry for his integrity, commitment to relationships, and visionary leadership. He often served not only as Managing Director but also as Project Director on challenging projects, demonstrating hands-on leadership and a dedication to quality and efficiency.
