The organic growth of our business and the changing commercial environment in which we work, has evolved into our flagship projects largely including design and construct delivery, constructability consultation and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) partnering models.
This has led to the expansion of our experienced professionals working in the technical services and engineering team that are engaged in the development of clever designs and innovative solutions.
This consists of a specially selected fleet of low-profile construction tools fitted with innovative control systems to prevent HV power interaction. The proximity systems have been developed in collaboration with industry experts and have successfully employed new technologies to increase safety and improve productivity in the construction of a 22km long buried 600mm steel pipeline, in a tight HV power corridor that includes major buried optic fibre and other above ground steel water mains.
The Water Treatment Plant being completed by Exact Contracting as a Design and Construct package between 2024-2026. A significant innovation to this project included the development of a large warehouse structure over the entire Water Treatment Plant. This has major long term benefits by removing the plant operations from the effects of wet season storm events.
In a partnership design with Mick Murray Welding, Greg Rhodes, founder of Exact developed custom belly dump trailers to change the methodology of delivering Cement Aggregated Fill (CAF) down the stopes, which was safer and more cost effective than the traditional end tipping method being deployed at Olympic Dam Mine at the time. Between 2007-2021 Exact delivered 28,500,000m3 of CAF before the innovative equipment was purchased by the mine operator to continue being utilised in-house.
